Spot Easy
At Spot Easy, I worked as the Media Manager for the start-up company competing with Zillow and Apartments.com in listing apartments for free. My daily tasks included creating content and captions, along with scheduling and posting content to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter. Most photos were created using Canva or my own personal photography. I also wrote weekly blog posts on their website extension- Spot Easy Blog, you can read one of my posts from that site here.

Coffee Pond Photography
Coffee Pond was my first studio photography job. I drove across New England shooting at a variety of elementary, middle, and high schools. This job taught me the most about studio lighting and posing, and the kids were my favorite part!

Yoga with Kasey
Working with Kasey Lansdale from YogawithKasey helped advance my skills in marketing, social media, and Photoshop. I work beside Kasey in her growing months as a social media intern where we created content for her social media platforms, promoting her virtual yoga classes.

Hellenic International Study of the Arts on Paros Island, Greece
In Greece, I finished the majority of my photography minor. I was featured in our town art show, including my 2D art and photography [above]. My time abroad was the most influential to my artistic style while being inspired by my talented classmates who became my friends.

Gannett Media- Wicked Local
At Wicked Local, I photographed events alongside the head photographer. I turned over images using Lightroom and was featured in their print news multiple times [above].

Girl Magic Meets
I was a part of Girl Magic Meets, a networking event for free model and photography exposure at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.
Lauren Thompson Photography
In 2016, I began freelance photography under the name Lauren E Thompson Photography. Since 2018, per my Instagram handle, I’ve rebranded to LThomps Art, as it reflects all mediums I use. I’ve shot senior portraits, surprise engagements, couples shoots, family shoots, pet shoots, and events across MA.

Society 6 Affiliate
In the four years, I’ve been listing my art on Society 6. I’ve sold over 250 prints of my art, including bags, clocks, stickers, and coasters. This platform has also allowed me to earn additional money with a referral link.
Since listing my artwork on Society 6, I’ve added Etsy to my digital art selling platforms. You can find my site here.
Photography and Activism
My first experience with activism photography began in 2017 with the Boston Woman’s March the day after Trump’s inauguration. Since, I have used my voice and my camera to photograph rallies, marches, and parades including LGBTQIA+ Pride Parade and the Black Lives Matter March. These are all subjects I care deeply about, and photographing the inspirational allies I met empowered me as an artist and an activist.
